    Seasonal Summer Fruits

Berries are at their peak during summer. Strawberries arrive first, followed by raspberries and blueberries. Blackberries show up at the end of summer and can linger until fall.

Stone fruit is a summer favorite. Look for sweet cherries and apricots at the beginning of summer. Peaches and nectarines arrive later, followed closely by sour cherries and plums.

Melons arrive in mid- to late summer. Watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew are perennial favorites, but look for heirloom melons at farmer's markets. They tend to have sweeter and more robust flavor profiles.

Grapes are a late-summer fruit. Their season extends into autumn.
