    Tips for Making Great Stew

Choose the right cut. Opt for tougher cuts of meat like chuck or brisket, which break down beautifully during slow cooking, imparting rich flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture to your stew.

Build layers of flavor. Before adding liquid, take the time to brown your meat and sauté your aromatics like onions, garlic, and carrots. This step enhances the depth of flavor in your stew

Don't rush the cooking. Allow your stew to simmer low and slow, giving the meat plenty of time to become tender. The low-and-slow approach also allows the flavors to meld together.

Add leafy herbs toward the end. Tough, hardy herbs such as rosemary and bay leaf can withstand lengthy cooking. But, tender herbs like parsley and chives are best added toward the end, or their delicate flavors will be lost.
