    Nourished Kitchen Shopping Guide

This guide gives a little glimpse of all the delicious, nourishing things I keep stocked in my pantry - from bone broths and sourdough bread to wine, olive oil, vinegar, herbs, and natural salt. You'll also find some of my favorite supplements, too. If you purchase products listed on this page, this site may earn a small commission at no additional expense to you.

    Bone Broths

While homemade bone broth is the best, here are a few brands that offer good quality broth made with organic ingredients. Look for broth that contains whole foods ingredients and has a high protein content.

    Brodo

Brodo was developed by NYC chef Marco Canora, and it is the closest to homemade that you'll find. It tucks easily into the freezer and has a high protein content and loads of gelatin. It's also made with organic ingredients.

    Oil + Vinegar

Olive oil, butter, ghee and other healthy fats are central to good cooking - helping to increase feelings of satiety and conveying flavor to your meals. Opt for minimally processed fats and oils. Vinegar also helps to support blood sugar regulation and brings a sharp boost of acidity that brings balance to the foods you cook.

    Brightland

Brightland makes gorgeous extra virgin olive oils from California olives. They infused with herbs and spices such as basil, lemon, chiles, and garlic.

    Acid League

Acid League makes naturally fermented raw vinegars that are infused with fruit and other botanicals for big, impactful flavor. Their Cabernet Port Vinegar is always. afavorite in our house.

    Sourdough

Sourdough bread is easy to make if you have the patience to maintain a starter culture. But if you're busy, or lack the time and patience to make your own, you can order it from a local bakery or online. Look for true sourdough that contains little more than flour, starter culture (yeast), and herbs.

    Wild Grain

Wild Grain is a subscription service that will deliver a box of sourdough breads and other goodies such as pastries and handmade pastas to your door once a month.

    Wine + Bitters + Apéritifs

Bitters and apéritifs are a perfect start to a meal. Their natural lightness coupled with bitter and acidic flavors kickstart digestion and provide a pleasant beginning to meals. Wine is rich in polyphenols that help support cellular health, and we prefer naturally fermented wine where possible, like that from Dry Farm Wines.

    Mountain Rose Herbs

In addition to their wide array of medicinal and culinary herbs, Mountain Rose Herbs offers a line of herbal bitters which are great used at the start of a meal to kickstart digestion. Or you can blend them into a pre-dinner cocktail.

    Tea

I start most mornings with tea. It tastes delicious, provides a boost of energy, and is rich in polyphenols that help support cellular health and digestive wellness. We brew lots of loose-leaf tea as well as Pique Tea.

    Pique Tea

Pique Tea makes organic tea crystals that dissolves in both hot and cold water. They're also triple-screened for toxins, such as mold and pesticides to ensure a healthy brew that's super-rich in flavor.

    Herbs + Spices + Salt

Herbs and spices are the heart of what makes your food taste goods. And they feature in many of the nourishing recipes you'll find here, such as this citrus punch or mulled wine.

    Mountain Rose Herbs

Mountain Rose Herbs offers organically grown and sustainably wild-crafted herbs and spices online - including both culinary herbs as well as harder to find medicinal herbs.

    Supplements

While they can't replace a diet rich in whole foods, supplements can offer a little nutritional boost when you need it. In addition, herbal supplements can help support your body's stress response system, boost your energy, or support the immune system and digestion too.

    Hilma

Hilma's natural remedies are made with herbs, minerals and vitamins and are impeccably researched. They offer remedies for tension relief, immune support, seasonal support, digestive aids and more.
