  45. Tracey R says:

Oh boy, I can hardly wait to try these! I currently use a grassfed butter. I do traditional cooking from around the world, but particularly country French, northern Italian, and various Indian types of cuisines.

My family eats eggs from pastured chickens almost every morning for breakfast. I often top them with some fresh butter (not heating it), or some kind of salsa or other condiment. I am getting hungry thinking about the Provence ghee on these!

Another thing I often do is barely steam fresh vegetables in bone broth, and then top them with a butter in which I’ve briefly sauteed an herb. I can really see using the Italian, Garlic or Provence this way.

I think I will try to come up with a coconut flour cookie using the Dessert Ghee.

And the digestive and Nittar Kibbeh I would probably just eat straight when needed. I already sometimes use turmeric (Haldi) in butter, on the advice of a pharmacist from India who also studied Ayurvedic medicine. It tastes good, so I imagine these blends, made by people who know what they’re doing, will taste terrific.

  183. Annie says:

I entered through the link – thanks :)

  184. Annie says:

Oooo – for what would I use the ghee???? Oh, man. I’ve only “made” my own by letting melted butter separate, but I LOVE that on popcorn. Definitely veggies, too. I’d probably use “original” but popcorn would welcome anything, right? :)

  185. allyson says:

WHAT A TRAT THIS WOULD BE- TO TRY NEW SPICES

  186. Theron Willis says:

My ex-wife learned how to make her own ghee via a Hare Krishna cookbook titled “A Higher Taste”. Through her I’ve become an advocate of India’s cuisine.

I would like to try Pure Indian Food’s Garlic flavored Ghee.

    Hope to win.

  187. Heather says:

  194. ky2here says:

I’d use this for saag paneer then I’d branch out. I really need to make my own indian food because – although i love it – the sodium content is too high for me and my heart. I’m too lazy to get the ingredients (and there’s an indian grocer in the area so i can’t pull that stunt) so if i had this stash of ghee, i could make healthier indian food and the others could pour on the salt to their heart’s content (pardon the pun).

  195. Courtney says:

I have not used ghee yet, but I would experiment with it by using it when I need to cook with fat and see where it works best.

  196. Nanette Olson says:

I’d think the digestive ghee on some toast with a drizzle of honey would be fantastic. Plus I’d like to try some good ghee – I bought some recently at a Middle Eastern market near my home and ended up tossing it – it smelled way too funky. I was super disappointed.
