Ingredients
4cups rose petals(loosely packed)
4cupswater
ice
Instructions
Place a trivet in the center of a large, deep stock pot. Place a heat-proof 1-quart bowl on top of the trivet. Arrange the flower petals around the trivet and the bowl, and then cover them with water.
Turn the pot's lid upside down, and cover the bowl. Turn the heat to medium-high and bring the contents of the pot to a boil. Place ice on top of the overturned lid, and allow the steam to rise, condense, and then drip rose water into the bowl. This process takes about 20 minutes.
Turn off the heat, and allow the pot to cool to room temperature. Remove the bowl, and then transfer the rose water to a bottle. Store in the fridge and use within 6 months. Discard the solids.
