If you’ve read Nourished Kitchen for a while, you know about my love and enthusiasm for high quality local and traditional foods. Real food. Vibrant organic fennel. Flavorful berries. Wild-caught salmon. Fresh raw butter and fresh raw cream. What you don’t know, however, is that while my belly may rumble the traditional foods of my ancestors, my heart trembles for the modern (design, that is). Those clean sleek lines. Over the last few days I’ve spent more time than I should have pouring over AllModern.com’s site and gazing at the furnishings, decorative accents and of course the goodies for the kitchen: cookware, serving pieces and other gadgets. I would grab up as many of those sweet blown glass jars as 100 bucks would get me to hold my probiotic yummies in in the fridge. The aroma leaks out of my jars right now and the kids go “peeeeuuuu!”
after liooking thruogh everything(and loving it) i went straight back to my first choice –the Blomus- Asian Teapot. it’s so unique.

Oh, what cool stuff! I got a real kick out of some of the citrus juicers – especially the one that looks like a long legged spider, lol.
But I think my pick is the simplehuman flip-top dish rack. I used to have a folding rack with two levels, and when it started to rust, I replaced it with the standard plastic rack. Does the job, but I really miss the two levels.

So many cool design pieces on that site. I giggled at all of the Stefano Giovannoni Collection- I mean, the salt and pepper sets crack me up, especially the Mr. and Mrs. Chin set…
But if I could choose only one thing to get for myself it would be the Revol- Eclipse 84.75 oz deep square baking dish in black….
The Alessi honey pot is the one thing that would serve my family best. As part of our commitment to eating healthfully, we sweeten only with honey and stevia. Plus, looking at that beautiful design every time we reach for the honey can only be a good thing!
