Nourished Kitchen has moved to summary feeds which I realize may disappoint many of you long-time subscribers; however, the move is not without merit. Like many sites that offer a full text feed, Nourished Kitchen has been subject to extensive content theft and scraping. That means the time, effort and research I put into my posts has been compromised by the loose ethics of other site owners and spammers. Of course, should anyone have a real interest in sharing the content here at Nourished Kitchen, all they need to do is ask: I’ve never yet denied anyone who’s said, “Please.”
While moving to a summary feed is just one avenue to reduce theft, it can be an effective one requiring from you just one more click, and I hope you think that the recipes and posts here at Nourished Kitchen are worth that extra click. And while content theft is a primary factor in moving to a summary feed, I also want to provide a richer experience to my subscribers – and that can only be accomplished here at the site itself. Otherwise you’d miss insightful (and sometimes incite-full) comments from your fellow readers, important links to other posts and beautiful imagery that even a full feed just can’t provide.
All it takes from you is a single click on “read more,” and I’d like to think that Nourished Kitchen is worth that single extra click.
