Sausages with Red Cabbage, Apples & Carraway

You’ll need:

  • 1-2 Sausages for Every Person (I used grass-finished Bison Bratwurst)
  • 2 Tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 Cup Riesling
  • 1 Large Head Red Cabbage or 2 Small Heads Red Cabbage, shredded
  • 4 Apples, Sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons Carraway Seeds

Heat the ghee in a pan over medium heat until melted, and add the sausages and cook until well-browned on all sides.   Add the wine.   Add the shredded cabbage, sliced apples and carraway seeds.   Cook until cabbage and apples are tender and the riesling is reduced to a syrupy consistency.   Serve.
