We're in the heart of the mountains, so quite a distance from your location. I haven't been to any of the front range markets, so I'm not greatly familiar with what they offer. We try to make it to other markets when we're in the area. I have heard that the Boulder Farmers Market is phenomenal, but that might be too far to travel for you.

Our market is comprised of about 1/2 food vendors and 1/2 arts & crafts vendors which seems to be a good mix for this area since we often have tourists at our market. Not all of our food vendors are farmers, though, many of them are bankers or provide other specialty foods (like whole foods vegan cuisine).

A few things to keep in mind: it's still early season in Colorado so a lot of produce might not be available until August and September when the harvest really starts kicking in. A lot of markets use arts and crafts as a way to fill the space until the produce comes around.

Good luck! And thanks for reading.

I've enjoyed reading your site! I'm also in Colorado in the South Denver Metro area and couldn't find where exactly in CO you are... Yes, being new to Colorado, I'm enjoying the Farmers Markets, although in this area, some markets seem to be filled more with retail vendors than produce! Maybe it's just the South Metro area that is like this?! Thanks for your great posts!
