For our family, a nourished life extends beyond our kitchen to nearly every aspect of our home. Sure, what you put in you’re body is extremely important to your overall health, but that’s not to say we should ignore what we put on our bodies. In our home, we’ve ditched shampoo (no, it’s not as gnarly as you might think!) and make good use of natural skincare products and, for me, cosmetics. Because I feel that avoiding chemicals not only in our foods, but also in our personal care products makes a difference, I list natural skin care products on the resources page.

This week, I’m excited to have teamed up with the Homestead Company to get natural personal care products in to your hands. This week the Homestead Company is giving away $40 of merchandise to one Nourished Kitchen reader. The winner will be able to use that $40 gift certificate to purchase any item or items from the Homestead Company’s store. I’d recommend one of the sets – like the Skin Essentials Gift Set or the Mommy and Baby Starter Set which combine multiple products to try.

How to Enter

Due to shipping considerations, anyone can enter who resides in the United States. If you reside outside the United States. Enter first by visiting the Homestead Company’s website, have a good look around and then come back to Nourished Kitchen to let me know what you’d pick up if you were to win $40 Gift Certificate. And, of course, there’s additional ways to enter!

I would love to use the gift certificate towards the Mama and Baby Starter Set! I especially want to try the diaper spray in the set…I use cloth diapers but “natural” disposable wipes and lately my daughter has been getting rashes and cuts :( I also have a baby on the way so it would be perfect!

Somehow I received an email from The nourished kitchen, which got me over to your site. Of course, my son and his wife raise grass fed meat, and I make organic dog treats. Anything that is organic interests me. I just started making organic dog soap. I love your website!!! Would definitely love the foot care products, because they are so good for your skin.

I would get the eczema oil, body butter and body scrub. I am very interested in the eczema oil. My son and I both have eczema and I’ve tried many different lotions and oils and nothing so far gives either of us much relieve.

Alright. If I had $40 to spend there, I’d get the eczema oil, as we have one son who has it and two others who might if we aren’t careful, the alcohol free witch hazel, the diaper rash oil, the baby wipe companion and the cucumber body butter. Pretty please! :-)
