I’ve spent more time reading blogs than blogging lately and I’m certainly hooked on quite few food blogs that I’ve added to my feeds. Each week, I hope to provide links to my favorite nourishing, wholesome recipes provided by fellow bloggers.
So here it goes:

Figgy Pro-biotics Soda at Garlic Breath: It’s no surprise–with my love of ferments–that I love water kefir. Indeed I have a batch brewing right now. It’s lovely really: fizzy, sweet-sour. It’s a nice alternative to nutrition-less sodas. Riana uses figs in her water kefir, but I prefer the flavor of raisins.

Beetroot and Mint Terrine with Yogurt Sauce at My French Kitchen: Beets are my favorite vegetable. I love their earthiness, their redness and the way they stain my hands when I cut into them. They’re beautiful and rich in micronutrients and flavonoids like betacyanin which is a cancer-fighter. This recipe offers a unique twist on my everyday ways of preparing beets through steaming, roasting or sauteeing. And it’s stunning–truly stunning.
